About Corporate Citizenship

Puget Sound Business Journal's Corporate Citizenship program is a special publication and awards ceremony that highlights companies and their levels of philanthropy, and shines the spotlight on businesses that do well by doing good. The Business Journal has expanded its Corporate Citizenship program to recognize more companies of all sizes in the greater Puget Sound area for their staunch support of philanthropic causes and organizations.

Program Background
The Puget Sound Business Journal is committed to philanthropy and corporate citizenship.  As a voice to the community, the Business Journal has developed specific programs to help further our mission.

    • In 1995, the Business Journal developed a concept called Corporate Citizenship: The Business of Giving.  This special publication was created to showcase how companies are giving back and the return they get on their investment.  It also gives businesses and the causes they support a voice into the business community with the goal of building identity for these organizations.
    • The Business Journal believes in Corporate Citizenship and supports some 20+ nonprofit organizations through in-kind contributions, a scholarship fund and volunteer hours.
    • Last year, we vastly expanded our Corporate Citizenship program by adding an awards event to teach, grow and build commitment throughout the business community to citizenship and giving.
